IP camera PiXORD P400W is fixed indoor camera designed for sending video/audio stream via wireless computer network. The main applications include professional monitoring systems based on IP technology - in businesses, offices, stores, shopping molls, factories, banks, government buildings, developments, houses etc.
Capabilities of PiXORD P400W IP camera:
- integration with any IP monitoring system,
- remote viewing of images via Internet Explorer from any place in the world,
- remote management of cameras via Internet Explorer from any place in the world,
- connecting with any access point (IEEE802.11b, WEP),
- connecting via UTP cable (radio switched off)
- analog video signal on BNC output, parallel to IP interface,
- remote recording of images/sound on the computer (via Internet Explorer),
- remote viewing of images via VLC or Quick Time Player,
- capturing viewed images (as JPEG or BMP) and saving them on computer any moment (via Internet Explorer),
- viewing of images from 4 PiXORD cameras (this camera + 3 other cameras from among: K1130 P300, K1131 P400, K1132 P400W, K1136 P428, K1236 P463DW, K2131 P1401) - on the camera's www site,
- videoconferencing via Internet Explorer, thanks to embedded software (there is needed second Pixord camera or video server: K1130 P300, K1131 P400, K1132 P400W, K1136 P428, K1236 P463DW, or K2131 P1401),
- posting live video from the camera on any website (the source code for pasting in is available at download),
- performing programmed actions after motion detection and/or activation of alarm input:
- sending short AVI files to an ftp server,
- sending short AVI files as e-mail attachment,
- activation of alarm output,
- using PT device controlled via RS485 or RS 232 port (protocols: Lilin, PELCO-D, PELCO-P, DynaColor),
- outdoor operation - after placing the camera in outdoor housing - Marathon MH-816/12 M5407.
P400W has been equipped with 1/3'' CCD 540TVL from Sony (sensitivity - 0.1 lx with F2.0 lens). The included fixed lens (only focus adjustment) has 6mm focal length (F1.6). It can be replaced with other lens (CS mount), e.g. with adjustable focal length and automatic iris (the camera has a suitable interface for DC lens). The camera has internal microphone. Both the image and sound have DVD-like quality.The two LEDs on the rear panel inform the user about power and network status. The reset button restores default settings. The camera is also equipped with:
- 12VDC input (power)
- RJ45 connector - network interface
- two SMA connectors - for connecting antennas (to order: SMA R/P)
- mini DIN - for connecting special cable extension with additional connectors:
- BNC - analog video output (for monitor, DVR etc.)
- RS485 (terminal strip) - for PT device
- alarm input (terminal strip)
- alarm output (terminal strip)
P400W can stream video in MPEG-4 ot MJPEG format, with D1 (720x576 PAL, 720x480 NTSC) resolution at 25 fps (PAL) or 30 fps (NTSC). Its resolution can be reduced to CIF or QCIF. Sound can be sent in PCM or MP2 format.
In each video format the user can set compression level which influences image quality and bandwidth requirements. Additionally, in MPEG-4 format it is possible to choose CBR or VBR option and change advanced Group of Picture (GOP) settings. The MPEG-4 streaming uses RTSP protocol.

- configuration of wireless interface (on/off, ESSID, network search, WEP settings),

- remote information on camera (firmware version, MAC address)

- synchronization of date and time with NTP server or computer,
- defining access rights (administrator, or user - viewing only),
