The Hikvision DS-2DE7425IW-AE K17918 IP PTZ camera is equipped with a high-quality sensor that allows to capture 4 MP (2560 x 1440) images at 25 fps (50 fps for resolutions of 1920 x 1080 and lower). The camera provides three independent data streams and several video compression methods: H.265+ / H.265 / H.264+ / H.264 / MJPEG. Thanks to its separate day or night modes, the model adequately renders all colors in daylight and uses its maximum sensitivity in low light conditions at night. The camera comes with an IR illuminator with a range of up to 150 m and a Smart IR function. Infrared brightness and angle are automatically adjusted depending on the scene. The audio input allows to connect a microphone, and the audio output can be connected to an active loudspeaker (with a built-in amplifier). This solution enables two-way voice communication, audio monitoring of the spot, as well as audio recording. The 3D positioning function allows to easily mark the area to be zoomed in. The IP66-rated housing of the camera protects optical and electronic components against adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered with 24 VAC or the Hi-PoE method.

The P/T mechanism can change the position of the optical axis of the camera at a speed of 0.1°/s...160°/s (240°/s between presets). Thanks to high sensitivity, advanced processing algorithms, such as 3D DNR, WDR (120 dB), BLC, HLC, Defog, and EIS, the camera can effectively operate in difficult light conditions. In conjunction with a 25x optical zoom and 16x digital zoom it allows for detailed monitoring of large areas with a total zoom up to 400x. The ability to set up to 300 presets, 8 patrols and 4 routes, allows the operator to precisely set the camera view and create specific patrol routes.

H.265+/H.265 – a higher compression ratio that preserves the image quality of H.264

The camera implements several video compression methods, such as H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264, MJPEG. Compared with H.264, H.265 can reduce the data stream by half, which translates into proportional disk space savings and extended data retention time. H.265+ and H.264+ are Hikvision standards based on the original systems and optimized for CCTV applications. They further minimize the streams in typical video surveillance scenarios. With the advanced video compression algorithms, the camera can be used in IP CCTV systems based on modern NVRs implementing the H.265 standard (the DS-76/77/96NI-I/K series supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264). Of course, the camera can also operate with older models that support H.264 (the DS-76/77NI-E series supports H.264+, H.264).

With the support of ANR (Automatic Network Replenishment), each IP camera equipped with a memory card can record video even in the absence of network connection. Once the network connection is restored, the footage is automatically synchronized with that recorded on the NVR. This ensures a continuous coverage of events, even in the event of communication problems between the camera and NVR.

The iVMS 4200 client software allows HIKVISION devices to be managed in IP networks. The software enables the configuration and management of NVRs/DVRs, IP and analog cameras (in hybrid systems). The iVMS 4200 utility can remotely manage up to 256 devices, with the use of up to 4 monitors. One monitor can display footage from up to 64 cameras. Aside from system configuration and live monitoring, the utility can be used for remote playback, notifications, two-way audio transmission, and multi-level e-maps.

Hik-Connect is a mobile application intended for Android and iOS smarthphones, which can be used for the remote live streaming of images from DVRs, NVRs, and network cameras via Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks, as well as for for playing back recorded video files. The application connects with the devices by IP addresses and/or through the P2P cloud.

The main window of SADP application

SADP (Search Active Device Protocol) is a free and simple utility for searching Hikvision IP cameras and Hikvision DVRs/NVRs in the local network.
