The FORSCHER FS8114 device is used to test cabling continuity, measure cable lengths and distances to faults. It can detect connection faults in UTP/STP network cables, telephone and coaxial cables. In addition, the FS8114 tester is equipped with an advanced locator of wire pairs. The operation is based on a unique technique that combines the generation of both analog and digital tones allowing to significantly increase the accuracy in locating cable bundles. High sensitivity allows for detecting wires hidden in walls, floors or ceilings in a depth up to 15 cm. The FS8114 tester includes the function of measuring voltages on individual conductors of the twisted-pair cable (passive POE).
