The Power over Ethernet (PoE) adapter transmits power to LAN devices via quadded twisted pair cables (e.g. UTP). The application of the PoE injector is a very convenient solution e.g. when there is a need of providing power to an outdoor Access Point from a power supply located indoors.
The LED on the top of the device indicates the connection of a power supply.
The adapter can be used for various devices compliant with 802.3af PoE standard.
